At BodyFreaks, we want you to understand all aspects of international shipping before you place your order. Here's everything you need to know about potential customs charges and import fees when ordering your activewear from us.

Understanding Import Duties & Customs

Import duties are fees that some countries charge when products cross their borders. These charges are set and collected by your local government's customs department, not by BodyFreaks.

The amount you might pay depends on several factors including your country's import policies, the total value of your order, and the type of products you're purchasing. Every country has different rules and rates.

UK Customers

Since BodyFreaks ships from our warehouse in Swansea, Wales, UK customers won't face any customs charges or import duties on their orders. All prices you see include UK VAT where applicable.

International Orders

If you're ordering from outside the UK, there's a chance your local customs authority may apply charges to your package. We wish we could control this, but these fees are completely outside our hands.

Before placing your order, we recommend checking with your country's customs website or calling their helpline to understand what charges might apply to fitness apparel imports. This can help you avoid any surprises when your package arrives.

What Happens if You Refuse Customs Charges?

Sometimes customers decide not to pay customs fees and refuse their package. When this happens:

• Your package will be returned to our Swansea warehouse
• We'll process a refund once we receive the returned items
• Please note: return shipping costs may be deducted from your refund
• The refund process can take several weeks due to international return shipping

VAT & Sales Tax

For UK orders, we automatically add the correct VAT (Value Added Tax) at checkout - currently 20% for most clothing items. This tax goes directly to HMRC, the UK tax authority.

International customers should be aware that their country may also apply local taxes (like GST or sales tax) on top of any customs duties. Again, these are separate from what you pay BodyFreaks and go to your local government.

Please be aware of the following when placing international orders:

• All prices on our website are in British Pounds (GBP) and do not include potential customs charges
• You are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees
• BodyFreaks cannot estimate these costs as they vary by country and order value
• Customs processing may add extra delivery time to your order
